ISAF soldiers die in southern Afghanistan 05.07.2007 Six ISAF soldiers and one Afghan ISAF employee were killed today in southern Afghanistan after the vehicle they were riding in struck an improvised explosive device, said in a statement release by ISAF. “The ISAF community mourns the loss of these brave soldiers,” said Lt. Col. Maria Carl, ISAF spokesperson. “They gave their lives to improve the lives of the Afghan people.” he added. In accordance with NATO policy, ISAF does not release a casualty’s nationality prior to the relevant national authority doing so.
