Taliban rockets kill 3 civilians, injure 7 01.07.2007 Bilal Basharat from Kabul BAGRAM AIR FIELD, Afghanistan – Three Afghan civilians were killed and seven wounded today when an Taliban rocket attack on an ISAF patrol base fell short and landed in a village in the Chawki district, Kunar province. The ISAF base came under attack around 4 p.m. from enemy rocket fire. An Afghan National Security Forces patrol responded to the area of the attack. They discovered that two rockets had hit the village. The injured personnel were medically evacuated to ISAF medical treatment facilities. Male family members accompanied two injured children and are staying with them at the hospital. In a separate event, the driver of a vehicle-borne IED died in a failed attack on an ISAF patrol in Surkhrod district, Nangarhar province.
