France Donates Equipments to National Interdiction Unit of Counter Narcotics Police of Afghanistan 08.06.2006 Kabul, The police attaché office of France embassy in Kabul, donated some equipments with the total cost of $100,000, to National Interdiction Unit of Counter Narcotics Police of Afghanistan (NIU, CNP-A). This donation includes 2 cars, 300 dress and hats, 150 pair of shoes, 150 military belts, 300 bed sheets, 150 sport costumes plus shoes, 150 waist coats, 2 T.V sets, 14 mobile phones plus sim cards, a lap top computer, and a video projector. Lt. General Mohammad Daud Daud, Deputy Interior Minister for Counter Narcotics, said during his speech in the ceremony held on this occasion at NIU office, "We thank the France government for their prior and present donations to NIU. We request the international community to enhance their assistance with counter narcotics entities of Afghanistan so that we can accelerate our activities regarding elimination of narcotics economy." It is to be mentioned that the total cost of France government donations to NIU for two last years, exceed one million US dollars. << | >> |
