President Karzai Calls Zarqawi's Death a Severe Blow for Terrorism 08.06.2006 Arg, Kabul Hamid Karzai, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, called the death of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi a severe blow for terrorism and a major success in the war on international terrorism. In his reaction to the killing of Zarqawi the President said “Zarqawi and his terrorist organization were responsible for the killing of thousands of Muslims in Iraq and in Afghanistan. Zarqawi's death is not the end of terrorism in the world, but a significant step in ridding the world of the menace of terrorism.
