Kabul International Exhibition begins 09.05.2006 Kabul International Exhibition 2006 was opened in Kabul on Monday to promote private investment opportunities in Afghanistan.The exhibition was organised by Afghanistan Investment Support Agency (AISA). Addressing the opening ceremony, president of AISA Omar Zakhilwal said the initiative was aimed at attracting national and foreign investors. Products of 80 companies from Afghanistan and 17 other countries were displayed in the exhibition that coincided with the Afghanistan International Investment Conference that will start tomorrow. The products were included agricultural, constructional, ICT, natural resources and energy-related materials. Senior government officials, including senior minister to the state Hedayat Amin Arsala, and representatives of private sectors were also present on this occasion. On this occasion, Arsala said that such big exhibitions showed that Afghanistan had developed much in economic field and could provide good opportunity for investment. The four-day exhibition was opened a day before the Afghanistan International Investment Conference that will finish on May 12. More than 200 traders from 17 countries and over 250 Afghan traders have to take part in the conference. << | >> |
