Conference for FUTURE BUINESS LEADERS -

Conference for FUTURE BUINESS LEADERS
14.04.2006 The AIESEC is due to launch a two-day conference on the 16th and 17th of April for students at Kabul University in a bid to develop their skills in leading a successful business and career in future. Over two days, students will have the opportunity to develop the skills and networks that they need to become entrepreneurial, socially aware future business leaders.

The first day of the conference will be a Career Building Seminar, in which students will have the opportunity to participate in industry focused workshops that will help them prepare for starting a career. Topics will be focused around practical subjects such as “how to write a business plan” and “how to develop entrepreneurship”.

Local and international companies will be invited to set up a stall at the careers fair to promote future employment opportunities. This will be the first western style careers fair ever held in Afghanistan.

The conference on the second day will be a Leadership Development Summit. Up to 150 high potential students will come together with businessmen and businesswomen from around Afghanistan to discuss the future of business in Afghanistan and the role of leadership in shaping the future business.

The Leadership Development Summit will feature presentations from Dr Omar Zakilwal from AISA, Dr Hamidullah Farooqi from AICC, Mr Jamal Noorzaie CEO of Afghan Telecom and many more. President of AIESEC International, Brodie Boland, will also arrive from Netherlands to attend the conference.

The Afghan International Chamber of Commerce, Afghan Telecom, CETENA Group, AIB Bank, and Paiwastoon Internet Company, and other sponsors of the conference believe that building a prosperous future for Afghanistan requires broad and continued investment in the Afghan young people.
