First Five-Star Hotel Inaugurated In Afghanistan's Herat 06.12.2005 The first five-star hotel was inaugurated in Afghanistan's western Herat province on Monday. The six-storey building of 64 rooms was constructed at the cost of US$4.5 million. Herat Governor Syed Hussain Anwari inaugurated the hotel, the cornerstone of which was laid by then governor Ismail Khan about eighteen months ago. Speaking to Pajhwok Afghan News Herat Mayor Mohammad Farooq Mujaddedi said the hotel has a restaurant and a large dining hall which can accommodate about 400 guests at a time. << | >> |
