Difference between DARI and FARSI

first farsi got an extra word belive it or not (must be the discovery of the century)

it is the biggest debate and ppl over time givin it more spins and twiste

well some belive dari was the spoken and written used by royals (hence the name dari comes from drbari which means royal court) and farsi is the spoken and written of the ordinary ppl 

some belive cause dari is such booooootyful language it takes its name from kabk dari which has a very nice singing voice

but that is not all

HAFEZ says (za sheri delkash hafez kasi bovad aagah ====== ka lotf tab v sokhn goftani DARI danad) hafez is basiclly saying his poems are in dari but that is not all one of the purist book in dari or farsi whichever way you want to call it is up to you is shahnamah (book of kings) by ferdosi there is only 30 non farsi/dari word is used in 60000 verses and he only use it to saggest (ie the arab call it this or that ) FERDOSI says (basi ranj bordam badin sal 30 ====== ajam zanda krdam ba een PARSI ( hence farsi) ) it took him 30 years to finish that book

the other thing is that cause iran was called PARS (fars) they called their language PARSI (farsi) any way that is the old farsi and dari

the new farsi has changed like any other language in the world it has been influanced, upgraded, changed, things added, things been takin away things forgatten, which media (tv radio papers books) are the main influance init but unlike farsi, dari has not changed that much luck of proper education in afghanistan, not that many writers, jounalistm tv channels, radio, newspaper and on and on so that is why some ppl think there is a difference, NO there is no diffrence it is like american and british english the only diffrence is farsi is moved up dari stay where it was, if we had read alot of iranian book and if we had alot of writer so iranian could have read their books the gap would have been very narrow indeed but time passes fast, untill the balance is met it is gone be that way
