I have just come back from Afghanistan and it opened my eyes to some bizarre practices that are taking place now,

 As we all know Getting engaged / married is one tricky, hard, bizarre, strange and full of surprises if not costly but these copycat tradition that has come from our neighbours is ridicules and one degrading

OK I list some I know her you con add

• giving money to bride after dance on the (day/night) of his family accepting the engagement (last night of Khostgari)

  Now what on earth is that for Excuse me but all I know is people tip belly Dancers and erotic dancers but giving money for bride after dance degrading and just Bizarre.

  
  



• After the wedding grooms family wants to see what the girl has brought with her as her dowry (Jahiz), Why, what if the girl was not from a rich family. Stupid thing.




• Engagement parties used to be an afternoon with light snack now full day with main course food.

Lol z z z z z  Matty, I guess its close to ur wedding as well. Tamoryan had similar posts colse to his wedding as well.

Now back to the topic. . . Ok the jahiz part I can understand , I mean the gal has to take some type of special gift that has been given to her from her side of the family to her new home . BUt this new dance business is new to me . I dont think this is right . Now abotu the engament parties . . . .

oh i love some traditions, i really love them. especially this wedding or engagement traditions. you dont marry a man or a woman. either you marry his/her family or you marry your own family. you know what i mean? you marry your "own" family cause u just engage because your family wants u to. great, isnt it? lol. Ok, this doesnt happen always, but often enough.

and then you get into another trouble. your party have to be the best. nowadays every wedding is organized very well. so is there any other chance to glitter on another way? yeeeaah, just make two great wedding parties... one is the engagement and one the wedding itself.. ;) and the most important thing: throw your money about everytime you have the possibility to... oh.. only now your cool.. ;))

really, i ve seen lots of engagement parties which where nearly like a wedding party except that there are not 300 guests but just 150 present ;) so these young couple begin their new live with lots of depts. thats not a good beginnig, isnt it? the couple will get many problems cause of this circumstance. i really feel sorry for everyone who gets into such a bad situation. its such a waste of money!

WE are the new generation. lets stop complainig about everything without doing anything against it, but lets start acting!

even if u do a big one, spent so much,, kp everytn organise leta on wen tngz are done, dey go and chit chat abt it , dey will be lik omg ws da a engagment part wteva balabalaba, so i gues les nt care abt wt people say and lets kep it simple and small
