Guide Note Homaira Rahman, a 25-year-old Afghani-American woman, was found dead on a sidewalk in Vienna, Virginia, on the Fourth of July, 2008. Her body reportedly showed evidence of upper-body trauma, particularly on the arms.1 30-year-old Ehsan Amin was arrested and charged with her abduction and murder.2 Amin reportedly sent Rahman death threats via text message and E-mail prior to her death.3 Fast Facts U.S.-born1 Active in charity work and with Afghan community1 Body found by pedestrian at 6:30 a.m. Found fully clothed, face down4 Autopsy is pending4 Lived within a half-mile from where she was found Vienna, Virginia is 14 miles east of Washington DC

My cousins were very close freinds with her.But first time I saw her,was at my freinds wedding.she stood out in the crowd: statuesque and beautiful...and even though I didn't know her on a personal level..My heart goes out to her family .

Inna Lillahi wa Inna Elayhe Raajeoon may Allah (S.W.T.) grant paradise for Homaira jan and bring saber to her family, friends and loved ones. I hope that as a community of Muslims and Afghans we can get together and eliminate senseless acts of violence.

I was very shocked when I saw at myspace blog that she was death!

God bless her, may her soul rest in peace!

Does anybody know something about this guy Ehsan Amin?

i heard from a sources close to habib qaderi.. that she was murdered because this guy wanted to marry her... but she said no.i kind of wonder the guy was an idiot..there is alot of fish in the sea.. if it was true love i dont' think you would wana hurt the person that you love that much and that bad that she end up dying..

 so alot of parts are missing in this story and i am interested to know more about this.. my heart goes out to her family.. i do feel bad for our afghan community who live in ignorance still and who don't get that no means no no mater what it is whether it marriage or whatever it is..

may she rest in peace..
