I hope all is well with each of you.  I read the news report about the Taliban taking responsibility for the attack on Karzai but didn't quite understand why they would risk the lives of six of their own men, Taliban, who were aparently wearing suicide vests, and so many unarmed civilians nor do I understand how they would take the life of a ten year old boy, a grandfather, and a lawmaker, and three of their own men just to supposedly 'scare' the Karzai.  Zabiullah had stated that they were not targetting Karzai but were sending the message that they were just trying to make a point to Karzai and his administration...but this just doesn't add up especially since supposedly Hekmatyar also took responsibility for the same attack.  Does this make any sense to any of you?

Did they fail their mission?  So, out of embarassment they are saying they meant to do it this way?

Talib and alqaeda which are known as insurgent and terrorists in Afghanistan are fighting afghan government, military and foreign troops and struggling make the security worse through doing Suicide attacks, fighting and attacking on weak rural military or governmental bases or by kidnapping afghan and foreign civilians. They never miss a chance to show the government of Afghanistan weak, and they don’t care who is going to die or Islam more than 70 % what they do is against Islam.

As the government was celebrating Independence Day of Afghanistan once again they did try to kill Karzai and ruin their wish for celebrating Independence Day which they did.

As for your questions

Why they risk the lives of their own six men?

Its clear when dozens of them die only in afghan and foreign air strikes then six is very small amount to spread fear among afghans and foreigners and possible for casualty among diplomats, MP’s, Ministers even karzai life.

When I see the Taliban risking the lives of six of their own men just to 'scare' someone, it tells me that to them (the Taliban) life is CHEAP; even their own men's lives.  I'm sure Zabiullah did not inform the suiciders that they were there just to scare the government.  

If they are careless about a ten year old boy losing his life, why isn't the entire Muslim world screaming out to the Taliban and crying for the little boy's mother and father whose hearts ache and long for their boy?

Okay, so I understand the target being any individual that is taking part in the gathering; be it an attendee or a governor.  However, why ruin the celebration; one that marked the end of the "Soviet invasion" in Afghanistan?  

I know there was a rumor a while back about him joining the Taliban but he came out in an interview and stated that he had not and would not join the Taliban regeme but that he did respect the Taliban.  Is that what you mean by him having given the Taliban his friendship?  That he agrees with the Taliban's mission, objectives, and goals?  Or that he actually joined the Taliban regeme?

as for the celebration as i mentioned in my first post they dont want to miss any single chance to show government weak spread fear among ppl and and possible for casuality of government authorities so it doesnt matter whatever or where ever it is, u know even people scare to go to MASJID cuz they do sucide attacks over there too if they can do in MASJID then they wont care for any date or any place else.

When he live in talib areas then he cant do anything against their goals he doesnt have any other chance without joining them in and residing in pakistan border areas peacfully with them, and i heard he did join and support them long ago since they have the same goal and charachter then it shows he is in talibn side and have some sort of connections

It just makes me sick to my stomach to see these people carry out un-Islamic, un-ethical, un-human, and undue harm in the name of our peaceful deen, Islam.  I think that is the biggest problem I, peronally, have with these radicals.  The fact that they use Islam to back up their dispicable actions and the fact that our own people, Muslims, not only fall for their reasonings but also support their actions just behooves me.
