Why would one become a terrorist?
I am asking this question, first of all to people from Afghanistan, but anyone’s opinion is welcomed since it will help me a lot in order to conduct my research for Faculty purposes, for the subject terrorism.
My task is to conduct a research and find out 3 most important purposes why one would become a terrorist? It may be religion, poverty, frustration, defense, ideology, indoctrination and so on.
What we learn at Faculty, is that there are many terrorist organizations in Afghanistan, Iran…. in short, in countries where islam is majority’s religion.
From my point of view, war on terrorism is non-sense and it is conducted for profit, and people become a “terrorists” in order to spread the message throughout the world that they had enough from american soldiers killing them, not leaving them in peace in their own country and taking away their natural resources, as well as putting pressure on them to accept western values, as they are the best in the world (?!)
So terrorism may be: A way to try to “tell” America that islam countries had enough and that if they do not stop the so called war on terrorism, american and european civils (people from european coutries who support NATO in Afghanistan) will die.
But, how are terrorist recruited? What motivates them? Religion? Frustration? What are the purposes for one to become terrorism?
I found many researches on Internet on this topic, but I believe that the most relevant can be done through conversation with people from “terrorist” countries (as american politicians tell us)...
So, can you help me?
