Gaining for your RESPECT


hey loves,

 

Can you tell me how am I able to greet my Bf’s parents? should i kiss the hand?haha I dont know that’s why..I have no idea :(what action should I do?I want to greet them in Afghan way? what about my bf’s siblings?

 

and yeah I want to call his sis-in-law as SIS but i don’t know how to translate in Dari?or was that Pushto?

  • lol i dont know which langauge ur bf speaks but ..

    whatever he calls his sister in law call them that

    and calll his mom mother.. we afghan love it when ppl like sister-in-law or bother-in-law calls our mom mother.

    three kisses from cheeks and kiss her hand ..

  • Just greet them normal . If u want to impress them then just do what freindly said .  But If they know tha t you dont speak any farsi then you shouldnt .

  • trust me.. u dont have to speak in the same langauge in order for them to understand that u respect .. ur feelings u wouldnt be able to hide and i am sure they will know that .. of course u deserve thier son i dont think even an afghan gal would care that much they would be lucky to have u

    my sister in law is not an afghan girl but she is 10000 % better instead of some afghan girls. We all the whole family love her very very much and we all respect her very much. She dont kiss hands or cook afghan foods ;-) but she has only a strong personality and nice heart. That is important. In some way its also important to speak Dari else  she cant communicate with us. Now she speaks fluently dari and knows alot about our culture and how we think and live.

    its important to speak a little dari and just show respect for afghan culture and traditions. you dont have to accept them just respect them.

     -YEAH,IT’S NORMAL ESPECIALLY WHEN YOUR FACING THE PARENTS OF YOUR LOVING MAN..FEELS LIKE NERVOUS,CONFUSED NOR TOO CURIOUS IF THEY’LL LIKE YOU OR NOT.

    she is helpful, she can help and understand the problems, she has respect for our culture and traditions.

  • I think that  It all has to do with they person ur having the relationship with  .. . . if he respects and accepts his culture / religion than u will definately learn from him. But if he has no interest in his religion/cuture than why would you waste ur time to be someone ur not whic he could care less about in the first place.
