Ok merjan jst said what she heard, but don’t understand, it’s nt her fault because this is human nature, either we are afraid of smfin we don’t understand or we say its not right or its crazy”!
“Weis qerani” was in love with the prophet (this story is written in sunni books as wel) but he Neva saw the prophet personally, and the prophet loved him as wel! One day “weis qerani” heard the prophet broke one of his teeth in a battle, he was soooo upset that he gt up and broke his own tooth! The people said that he is crazy, how can that help the prophet ? But the prophet said only I understand the love and compassion that he has !!! Maybe this story helps you a little bit to understand the mourning of Shias for the imams!
The other fact that we go through the imams or through imam Husain to seek help from Allah is this story: once upon a time there was a king who lost his way in the desserts while it was getting dark, so he past a tent and gave the order to stay the night there, in the tent lived an old woman who had NOTHING but a sheep, she killed the sheep and made food for the king and his soldiers, next morning before the king was leaving, he said whenever you are in the town come and visit me! The old woman went to the town a few month after and she went to see the king! The king was very disparate, because he didn’t know what to give the lady, a kilo of gold? 100 sheeps?? Then someone told the king that if you want to be fair (Aadel) (Adaalat) you have to give everything you have, because the old woman did so…. Now Imam Husain gave everything he had in the name of Allah in a very very sad way, his little baby, his brother, he left his 3years old girl behind, he gave his life for Allah! Now if Imam Husain asks Allah for something, don’t you think Allah is Aadel and he will give it to him?? And that’s the reason we ask imam Husain to ask Allah for us! Who am I to ask him directly( which doesn’t mean I ask Allah directly!) ? So the 12Imams are our Waaseta! (As in sahee bukhari it’s written that the prophet said “the Muslim world will be ruled by 12 ruler and all of them will be from quraish”!
Furthermore, crying for Imam al-Hussain (AS) is considered seeking nearness to Allah (SWT) for the tragedy of Karbala is bound to the great sacrifice which Imam al-Hussain (AS) endured for the sake of Allah (SWT) and for Islam. It is only when your heart is soft and absorbable that you feel the sense of closeness to Allah (SWT). The Holy Qur’an praises crying and those who cry for a legitimate cause. The Holy Qur’an describes many of the Prophets and their followers when they cried, “When the verses of the Most Gracious were recited unto them, they fell down prostrating and weeping”
Moreover, we cry over the martyrdom of Imam al-Hussain (AS) for the Holy Prophet (S) wept for Imam al-Hussain (AS) as recorded in many traditions (ahadith):
